Cytonn breaks ground on Sh15 billion Ruiru mixed-use project
Investments and real estate developer Cytonn has broken ground on its Sh15 billion mixed-use project that seeks to bring urban lifestyle to the Ruiru district of Kiambu County.
The 100-acre development, which will be known as RiverRun Estates, comprises 1,258 residential units – over 600 townhouses and villas; and more than 600 apartments – a retail promenade, a school, a water theme park, a boat club, and a boutique hotel.
The development, whose ground breaking ceremony was held on June 17, is located 7km from Thika Road and 1,5km off Kiambu-Kamiti Road – offering residents an easy access to Tatu City and Migaa Golf Course.
”RiverRun Estates offers convenience with over 1000 square meters of retail space consisting of a mini-mart and convenience stores to allow for convenience and an all-encompassing lifestyle” Cytonn project manager Peter Karenju said during the ground breaking event.
The development will accommodate lower middle income to high end properties with prices for the different class houses expected to be between Sh10 million and Sh49 million.
RiverRun Estates is expected to be completed in June 2022.
Cytonn Real Estate has partnered with two architectural firms, Aspera Designs from Kenya and Finnish architectural firm AUD Architects to develop the project.
The company has more than 12 developments and investment ready projects valued at Ah77 billion including the Amara Ridge in Karen, Situ Village in Ololua, The Ridge in Ridgeways, and Newtown, a proposed 1000-acre mixed-use development in Athi River.
