Zhengzhou is the capital city of Central Hunan province in People's Republic of China. AUD Architects have designed and built two 100 meter high towers housing A-grade office space and a boutique style high-end hotel with adjoining retail street and a small theatre in the new CBD area of this city. Both buildings are carefully positioned on the tight plot in order to maximize the pedestrian flow through the retail. The towers create a landmark for elevated highway intersection and the nearby new high speed railway station.The towers are cladded with low-E glass curtain wall with no visible mullions on the outside framed by natural stone with minimal detail. Retail podium has extensive LED lighting system embedded in the aluminum paneling and laminated glass of varying opacity.
