Nanjing is the city situated in the heartland of lower Yangtze River region in China, which has long been a major center of culture, education, research, politics, economy, transport networks and tourism. It is the capital city of Jiangsu province of People’s Republic of China and the second largest city in the east China region. 

The project in question is situated adjacent to a university area and campus near a small river. The area is an old industrial production neighborhood and houses several different shape and sized buildings that belong to different age era.

The design task was to give the building group a unified theme and identity and to preserve the original character of the buildings when possible. New design elements were added when they would add to the whole and enhance functionality and overall image. Special focus was placed on landscaping. 

Major task was to provide abundant parking places to satisfy the needs and requirements of the new functions.
