An extensive remodel and restoration to a flat in Villa Ulrika, originally designed by Gustaf Estlander in 1910. Although the overall condition was satisfactory, the space division did not meet the purposes of the residents. The reorganization accessed the functionality of the internal passageways. The floor plan of this Art Nouveau building had excessive corridors when compared to similar dichotomic architectural plans of the 1920s. An important design principle dictated the entry to public spaces were accessed through private family spaces. Bedrooms, bathrooms, and the kitchen were relocated peripherally, whereas spaces open to guests were gathered centrally around the entry hall. The resulting spacial division was subdued by extensive custom built-in cabinetry.
